Were COVID-19 and COVID-20 Created in a US Lab?

It was amusing to watch the emergence of this debate on the US-China stage. The Chinese were understandably unwilling to be blamed for the emergence of a virus in which they had no part, and thus reacted strongly to accusations the virus originated in a Wuhan lab. The Americans proved to be even more terrified at the possibility of scientific proof that the virus escaped from one of their bio-labs, and resorted to the only weapon they had which was to turn up the volume on blaming China. There were two main reasons for this state of affairs: (1) The US was the only country known to contain all the varieties that were being spread worldwide. (2) The US is the only nation in the world known to have repeatedly used biological weapons on other countries, beginning with North Korea and never ceasing. Of even more damning consequence is the known locations of about 400 American bio-weapons labs spread throughout the world, to say nothing of the pathetically-lax institution at Fort Detrick. Moreover, Trump recently claimed he could kill the entire population of Afghanistan within days. "Afghanistan would be wiped off the face of the Earth. It would be gone and this is not using nuclear. It would be over in - literally, in 10 days." Biological weapons would seem the only alternative. Hemorrhagic Fever and Hantavirus worked for the US in North Korea; perhaps also Afghanistan. (4) (5) (6) Mr. Trump later denied intention to carry out his threat, but let's dispense with the fiction of the US having no biological weapons and that Fort Detrick and the 400 foreign labs  are performing only benevolent "peace medicine" functions. If it were China with the above history and SARS, MERS, AIDS, EBOLA, bird flu, swine flu, and COVID-19 first erupted in the US, the Americans would claim this as 100% proof that China was responsible. It cannot be a surprise that much of the world today is naturally tending to lay these outbreaks at America's doorstep.

But returning to our topic of man-made COVID-19 or COVID-20, it seems everyone has been a little too eager to dismiss the possibility (or probability) of these viruses having a (human) helping hand.

Fue divertido ver el surgimiento de este debate en el escenario de EE.UU.-China. Es comprensible que los chinos no quisieran ser culpados por la aparición de un virus con el que no tenían nada que ver, y por lo tanto reaccionaron con fuerza a las acusaciones de que el virus se originó en un laboratorio de Wuhan. Los americanos demostraron estar aún más aterrorizados ante la posibilidad de una prueba científica de que el virus se escapase de uno de sus bio-laboratorios, y recurrieron a la única arma que tenían, que era subir el volumen culpando a China. Había dos razones principales para este estado de cosas: (1)

Estados Unidos era el único país conocido que contenía todas las variedades que se estaban extendiendo por todo el mundo. (2)  EE.UU. es la única nación en el mundo conocida por haber usado repetidamente armas biológicas en otros países, comenzando con Corea del Norte y sin cesar. Además, Trump afirmó recientemente que podría matar a toda la población del Afganistán en cuestión de días. "Afganistán sería borrado de la faz de la Tierra. Se iría, y esto sin usar energía nuclear. Se acabaría en... literalmente, en 10 días." Las armas biológicas parecerían ser la única alternativa. La Fiebre Hemorrágica y el Hantavirus funcionaron para los EE.UU. en Corea del Norte; tal vez también en Afganistán.(4) (5) (6) 

El Sr. Trump negó más tarde la intención de llevar a cabo su amenaza, pero prescindamos de la ficción de que los EE.UU. no tienen armas biológicas, y que Fort Detrick y los 400 laboratorios en el extranjero sólo realizan funciones benévolas de "medicina para la paz". Si fuera China la que tuviera los antecedentes mencionados, y el SARS, el MERS, el SIDA, el ÉBOLA, la gripe aviar, la gripe porcina y el COVID-19 aparecieran por primera vez en los EE.UU., los estadounidenses afirmarían que eso es una prueba al 100% de que China era responsable. No puede ser sorprendente que gran parte del mundo actual tienda naturalmente a poner estos brotes en las puertas de América.

Pero volviendo a nuestro tema de los COVID-19 o COVID-20 producidos por el hombre, parece que todo el mundo ha estado un poco demasiado ansioso por descartar la posibilidad (o probabilidad) de que estos virus tengan una mano amiga (humana).

Die 30 NATO-Außenminister (Luigi Di Maio für Italien) (1)  kamen am 2. April per Videokonferenz zusammen und beauftragten US-General Tod Wolters, den Obersten Alliierten Befehlshaber in Europa, "die notwendige militärische Unterstützung zur Bekämpfung der Coronavirus-Krise zu koordinieren".

Es ist derselbe General, der am 25. Februar im Senat der Vereinigten Staaten erklärte, dass „die Nuklearstreitkräfte jede militärische Operation der USA in Europa unterstützen“ und „ich bin ein Fan einer flexiblen Politik des Ersteinsatzes“ von Kernwaffen, d.h. eines nuklearen Überraschungsangriffs(2) ("Dr. Strangelove kümmert sich um unsere Gesundheit", Il manifesto, 24. März). (3)

General Wolters ist der Oberbefehlshaber der NATO als Leiter des Europäischen Kommandos der Vereinigten Staaten. Er ist somit Teil der Befehlskette des Pentagons, die absolute Priorität hat. Seine strengen Regeln werden durch eine jüngste Episode bestätigt: Der Kommandant des Flugzeugträgers Roosevelt, Brett Crozier, wurde seines Kommandos enthoben, weil er angesichts der Ausbreitung des Coronavirus an Bord gegen die militärische Geheimhaltung verstieß, indem er Hilfsgüter forderte. (4)

Um die "Coronavirus-Krise zu bekämpfen", hat General Wolters "für militärische Flüge schnellste Wege durch den europäischen Luftraum geschaffen", während zivile Flüge fast verschwunden sind.

Die schnellsten Wege werden auch von den strategischen US-Bombern B2-Spirit für Nuklearangriffe genutzt: Am 20. März starteten sie vom englischen Fairford aus und flogen zusammen mit norwegischen F-16-Kampfflugzeugen in die Arktis in Richtung russisches Territorium. (5)  Auf diese Weise - so erklärt General Basham, stellvertretender Kommandeur der US-Luftwaffe in Europa - "können wir schnell und effektiv auf Bedrohungen in der Region reagieren und unsere Entschlossenheit demonstrieren, unsere Kampfkraft überall auf der Welt einzusetzen".(6)

Während sich die NATO dem "Kampf gegen das Coronavirus" in Europa verschrieben hat, schickten zwei der wichtigsten europäischen Bündnispartner, Frankreich und Großbritannien, ihre Kriegsschiffe in die Karibik.

Das amphibische Sturmschiff Dixmund segelte am 3. April von Toulon nach Französisch-Guayana zu einer, wie Präsident Macron es nennt, "beispiellosen militärischen Operation", die im Rahmen des "Kriegs gegen das Coronavirus" als "Resilienz" bezeichnet wird.  (7) 

Dixmund kann die sekundäre Funktion eines Lazarettschiffes mit 69 Betten und 7 für die Intensivpflege übernehmen. Die Hauptfunktion dieses großen Schiffes, 200 m lang und mit einem Flugdeck von 5000 m², ist die eines amphibischen Angriffs: Nähert es sich der feindlichen Küste, greift es mit Dutzenden von Hubschraubern und Landungsbooten an, die Truppen und gepanzerte Fahrzeuge transportieren.

Ähnliche Merkmale, wenn auch in kleinerem Maßstab, hat das britische Schiff RFA Argus, das am 2. April nach Britisch-Guyana fuhr. (8)

Die beiden europäischen Schiffe werden in denselben karibischen Gewässern in der Nähe von Venezuela in Stellung gehen, wo die Kriegsflotte ankommt - mit den modernsten Küstenkampfschiffen (ebenfalls von der italienischen Leonardo Company für die US-Marine gebaut) und Tausenden von Marinesoldaten - die von Präsident Trump offiziell entsandt wurden, um den Drogenhandel zu stoppen.  (9)

Er wirft dem venezolanischen Präsidenten Maduro vor, "die Coronavirus-Krise auszunutzen, um den Drogenhandel zu steigern, mit dem er seinen Drogenstaat finanziert". Ziel der Operation, die von der NATO unterstützt wird, ist die Verschärfung des Embargos, um Venezuela (ein Land mit den größten Ölreserven der Welt), dessen Situation durch das sich ausbreitende Coronavirus noch verschärft wird, wirtschaftlich zu strangulieren.  

Ziel ist die Absetzung des regulär gewählten Präsidenten Maduro (auf dessen Kopf die USA eine Belohnung in Höhe von 15 Millionen Dollar  (10) ausgesetzt haben) und die Einsetzung einer Regierung, die das Land in den Einfluss der US-Dominanz bringt. Es kann nicht ausgeschlossen werden, dass ein Zwischenfall als Vorwand für die Invasion Venezuelas herbeigeführt wird.

Die Coronavirus-Krise schafft günstige internationale Bedingungen für eine Operation dieser Art, die vielleicht als "humanitär" dargestellt wird.

Al inicio de esta semana informábamos a nuestros lectores sobre los planes del presidente ‎estadounidense Donald Trump y la Unión Europea para secuestrar a Nicolás Maduro, a ‎quien Washington ya presenta sistemáticamente en sus documentos como ‎‎«ex presidente de Venezuela». Desde Roma, Manlio Dinucci revela ahora los ‎preparativos militares ya emprendidos por los gobiernos de Francia y del Reino Unido ‎con vista a esa operación, ahora pospuesta por el Pentágono. ‎

Los barcos RFA Argus –en la foto– y Dixmude no son hospitales flotantes sino buques ‎de guerra. El RFA Argus (A135) es un antiguo portacontenedores utilizado por la Royal Navy ‎británica en la guerra de las Malvinas –en 1982–, transformado después en buque de ‎entrenamiento aeronaval y equipado en 1991 con un hospital de campaña para su uso en la ‎primera guerra del Golfo, pero porta armamento de guerra y está equipado para recibir ‎helicópteros de combate WAH-64 Apache, lo cual lo excluye de la protección que la ‎Convención de Ginebra concede a los servicios de salud. Tampoco cuenta con esa protección el buque francés Dixmude (L9015), un portahelicópteros de la clase Mistral equipado para ‎acciones de asalto anfibio.‎

Los 30 ministros de Exteriores de los países miembros de la OTAN, reunidos el 2 de abril en una ‎videoconferencia, encargaron al general estadounidense Tod Wolters, Comandante Supremo de ‎las fuerzas de la OTAN, «coordinar el apoyo militar para combatir la crisis del coronavirus». ‎

Estamos hablando del mismo general que, el 25 de febrero, declaraba ante el Senado de ‎Estados Unidos que «las fuerzas nucleares apoyan toda operación militar estadounidense ‎en Europa» y que además se ha declarado partidario de «una política flexible de primera utilización» ‎del armamento nuclear. En otras palabras, este general estadounidense es un adepto del ataque nuclear sorpresivo ‎‎ [1]. ‎

The 30 NATO foreign ministers (Luigi Di Maio for Italy), met on April 2 by videoconference, (1) and instructed US general Tod Wolters, Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, to "coordinate the necessary military support to fight the  coronavirus crisis".

He is the same general who declared in the United States Senate on February 25 “nuclear forces are supporting every US military operation in Europe” and  “I am a fan of a flexible first-use policy” of nuclear weapons, that is nuclear attack by surprise (2) (“Dr. Strangelove  takes care of our health”, Il manifesto, March 24). (3)

General Wolters is the supreme commander of NATO as head of the United States European Command. He is therefore part of the Pentagon's chain of command, which has absolute priority. Its strict rules are confirmed by a recent episode: the aircraft carrier Roosevelt commander, Brett Crozier, was removed from command because he violated military secrecy by urging aid sending, faced with the spread of the coronavirus on board.  (4)

To "fight coronavirus crisis", General Wolters has “fast-track paths through Europe’s airspace for military flights”, while civilian flights have almost disappeared. Fast-track paths are also used by the US strategic bombers B2-Spirit for nuclear attack: on March 20, they took off from Fairford in England, together with Norwegian F-16 fighters, they flew to the Arctic towards Russian territory.(5) In this way - General Basham, deputy commander of the US Air Force in Europe - explains "we can promptly and effectively respond to threats in the region, demonstrating our determination to bring our fighting power everywhere in the world". (6) 

While NATO is committed to "fighting coronavirus" in Europe, two of the major European Allies, France and Great Britain, sent their warships to the Caribbean. The amphibious assault ship Dixmund sailed on April 3 from Toulon to French Guiana for what President Macron calls "an unprecedented military operation" called “Resilience”, in the framework of the "war to coronavirus". (7) Dixmund can perform the secondary function of hospital ship with 69 beds and 7 for intensive care. The primary role of this large ship, 200 m long and with a flight deck of 5000 m2, is that of amphibious assault: approaching the enemy coast, it attacks with dozens of helicopters and landing crafts transporting troops and armored vehicles. Similar characteristics, albeit on a smaller scale, has the British ship RFA Argus, which sailed on April 2 to British Guyana. (8)

The two European ships will take position in the same Caribbean waters near Venezuela, where the war fleet is arriving - with the most modern coastal combat ships (also built by Italian Leonardo Company for US Navy) and thousands of marines - sent by President Trump officially to stop drug trafficking.  (9)

He accuses Venezuelan President Maduro of "taking advantage of the coronavirus crisis to increase the drug trafficking, he finances his narco-state with". The purpose of the operation, supported by NATO, is to strengthen the embargo tightening to economically strangle Venezuela (a country with the largest oil reserves in the world), whose situation is aggravated by the coronavirus that has started to spread.

The aim is to depose regularly elected President Maduro (on whose head the US has placed a $ 15 million bounty) (10) and to establish a government that will bring the country into the sphere of US domination. It cannot be excluded that an incident could be caused as a pretext for the invasion of Venezuela.

The coronavirus crisis creates favorable international conditions for an operation of this type, perhaps presented as “humanitarian”.

Les 30 ministres des Affaires étrangères de l’OTAN (pour l’Italie Luigi Di Maio), réunis le 2 avril en vidéoconférence, ont chargé le général étasunien Tod Wolters, Commandant Suprême Allié en Europe, de “coordonner l’appui militaire nécessaire pour combattre la crise du coronavirus”. C’est ce même général qui, au Sénat des États-Unis le 25 février, a déclaré que “les forces nucléaires soutiennent toute opération militaire USA en Europe” et que lui-même “soutient une politique flexible de la première utilisation “ des armes nucléaires, c’est-à-dire de l’attaque nucléaire par surprise (“Le Dr Folamour veille sur notre santé”, il manifesto, 24 mars).

Le général Wolters est commandant suprême de l’OTAN en tant que chef du Commandement Européen des États-Unis. Il fait donc partie de la chaîne de commandement du Pentagone, qui a la priorité absolue. Un récent épisode confirme quelles en sont ses rigides règles : le capitaine du porte-avions Roosevelt, Brett Crozier, a été démis de son commandement parce que, face à la diffusion du coronavirus à bord, il a violé le secret militaire en sollicitant l’envoi d’aides.

Pour “combattre la crise du coronavirus” le général Wolters dispose de “couloirs préférentiels pour des vols militaires à travers l’espace aérien européen”, d’où ont quasiment disparu les vols civils. Des couloirs préférentiels sont aussi utilisés par les bombardiers USA d’attaque nucléaire B2-Spirit : le 20 mars, ayant décollé de Fairford en Angleterre, ils sont allés, avec des chasseurs norvégiens F-16, jusque sur l’Arctique vers le territoire russe. De cette façon -explique le général Basham des Forces aériennes USA en Europe- “nous pouvons répondre avec rapidité et efficience aux menaces dans la région, en montrant notre détermination à porter n’importe où dans le monde notre puissance de combat”. 

Pendant que l’OTAN est engagée à “combattre le coronavirus” en Europe, deux des plus grands Alliés européens, la France et la Grande-Bretagne, envoient leurs navires de guerre dans les Caraïbes. Le navire d’assaut amphibie Dixmund a levé l’ancre le 3 avril de Toulon vers la Guyane française pour ce que le président Macron définit comme “une opération militaire sans précédent” nommée “Résilience”, dans le cadre de la “guerre au coronavirus”. Le Dixmund peut jouer le rôle secondaire de navire hôpital avec 69 lits, dont 7 pour thérapies intensives. Le rôle premier de ce grand navire, long de 200m et avec un pont de vol de 5 000m², est celui de l’assaut amphibie : une fois proche de la côte ennemie, il attaque avec des dizaines d’hélicoptères et véhicules de débarquement qui transportent des troupes et des véhicules blindés. Caractéristiques analogues, bien qu’à échelle moindre, pour le navire britannique RFA Argus, qui a pris la mer le 2 avril vers la Guyane britannique.

Les deux navires européens se positionneront dans les mêmes eaux caribéennes à proximité du Vénézuéla : c’est là qu’arrive la flotte de guerre -avec les plus modernes navires de combat de littoral (construites aussi par l’italienne Leonardo pour l’US Navy) et des milliers de marines- envoyée par le président Trump officiellement pour bloquer le narcotrafic.

Trump accuse le président vénézuélien Maduro de “profiter de la crise du coronavirus pour accroître le trafic de drogue par lequel il finance son narco-État”. L’objectif de l’opération, appuyée par l’OTAN, est de renforcer l’étau de l’embargo pour étrangler économiquement le Vénézuéla (pays qui a les plus grandes réserves pétrolifères du monde), dont la situation est aggravée par le coronavirus qui a commencé à se propager. 

L’objectif est de déposer le président Maduro régulièrement élu (dont la tête a été mise à prix pour 15 millions de dollars) et d’instaurer un gouvernement qui amène le pays dans la sphère de domination USA. 

Il n’est pas exclus que puisse être provoqué un incident qui serve de prétexte pour l’invasion du Vénézuéla. La crise du coronavirus crée des conditions internationales favorables à une opération de ce type, éventuellement présentée comme “humanitaire”.
