America’s Barbaric Justice (sic) System

America’s Barbaric Justice (sic) System

America’s prisons are a horror. Many are torture chambers. Others are set up to exploit prisoner labor. Prisoners are defenceless and are raped and abused by goon thug guards. Hardly anyone in prison was convicted by a jury.

The tiny percentage of those who had trials (about 3%) had rigged trials in which fabricated evidence and paid witnesses were presented to the jury and exonerating evidence withheld.

Prisons are places patriots and truth-tellers are put, such as John Kiriakou and Manning, and where the US government wants to put Julian Assange and Edward Snowden.

Anyone who reveals a US government crime is imprisoned. Sentencing guidelines give all the power to corrupt prosecutors and none to judges. Some of the sentences are clearly unconstitutional cruel and unusual punishment. There is no medical care either, as Kiriakou tells us here:

Dr. Paul Craig Roberts was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy and associate editor of the Wall Street Journal. He was columnist for Business Week, Scripps Howard News Service, and Creators Syndicate. He has had many university appointments. His internet columns have attracted a worldwide following. Roberts' latest books areThe Failure of Laissez Faire Capitalism and Economic Dissolution of the West
