FBI agent sent ‘jaw-dropping’ text about no Russia collusion – senator

The FBI agent who investigated the Trump-Russia collusion claim sent a “jaw-dropping” text message suggesting that there was nothing to it, according to a Wisconsin senator who chairs the Homeland Security Committee.
Peter Strzok, formerly the deputy assistant director of the FBI’s counterintelligence division, sent a text to his mistress, FBI attorney Lisa Page, on May 19, 2017 – just two days after the special counsel was appointed to investigate claims of President Donald Trump’s collusion with Russia during the 2016 campaign. Strzok had led the investigation into Trump since July 2016, and had previously been involved in the probe of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server.
"You and I both know the odds are nothing. If I thought it was likely, I’d be there no question. I hesitate in part because of my gut sense and concern that there’s no big there there,” Strzok texted Page, according to Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin), who read out the message on Tuesday during an interview with WISN-Milwaukee radio host Jay Weber.
“I think that’s kind of jaw-dropping,” said Johnson. “In other words, Peter Strzok, who was the FBI deputy assistant director of the counterintelligence division, the man who had a plan to do something because he just couldn’t abide Donald Trump being president, is saying that his gut sense is that there’s no big there there when it comes to the Mueller special counsel investigation.”
Johnson chairs the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, which has been looking into the “completely unguarded” texts between Strzok and Page. The two were quietly removed from Mueller’s staff at some point last year after their texts to each other revealed a major conflict of interest.
Among other things, Strzok and Page discussed an “insurance policy” in case Trump won the election. On Tuesday, Representative Trey Gowdy (R-South Carolina) said that one of the texts he had seen even referenced a “secret society” at the FBI.
Hundreds of text messages between Strzok and Page surfaced during a Justice Department inspector general investigation into the FBI probe of Hillary Clinton. Strzok was one of the lead investigators in that probe. The existence of the texts was first reported in December, though Strzok had been reassigned from Mueller’s team to the FBI’s human resources department in August.
On Monday, the FBI admitted it had “failed to preserve” the messages between Strzok and Page from December 14, 2016 to May 17, 2017 –  the day Robert Mueller was appointed special counsel to investigate Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia. The FBI blamed the loss on “misconfiguration issues related to rollouts, provisioning, and software upgrades.”
Even so, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said the FBI investigators have found “over 50,000 texts” between Strzok and Page. According to Senator Johnson, the pair were “completely unguarded” in their communications.
“So we’re getting insight into exactly what is happening inside the FBI at the highest levels. And who knows who else they might implicate in terms of corruption,” he said on Tuesday.
Johnson has asked the Department Of Justice to produce messages from Strzok’s and Page’s personal iPhones and their Gmail accounts as well, as both were referenced in the text exchanges.

Security Agencies Have Been Politicized

Security Agencies Have Been Politicized

Security Agencies Have Been Politicized
The current NSA director, Adm. Rogers, according to what I learned from former US Attorney diGenova, is a true patriot and a person of integrity. He is the one who blew the whistle on the Russiagate plot against Trump. https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2018/01/22/here-are-all-the-facts-about-russiagate/
It was during Michael Hayden’s time as NSA director that the decision was made to spy illegally on the American people. When this was leaked to the New York Times, the newspaper sat on the story for one year until George W. Bush could be reelected and the Bush regime could make the illegal spying retroactively legal. When Hayden left the NSA he became CIA director and presided over the illegal torture program.
In other words, the collusion between the politicized New York Times and the politicized security agencies has been controlling explanations Americans are given for a long time. CNN, NPR, the Washington Post and all of the rest of the presstitutes are part of the constant stream of disinformation that is fed to the American public.

'Convenient accident': Twitter reacts after FBI 'lost texts' between Russia investigation staffers

'Convenient accident': Twitter reacts after FBI 'lost texts' between Russia investigation staffers
Reactions are rolling in after the FBI reportedly lost five months of text messages between staffers who worked on probes into Hillary Clinton's emails and alleged collusion between Russia and Donald Trump's campaign.
News of the reportedly 'lost emails' broke after Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson, Chair of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, wrote in a January 20 letter that the FBI's technical system had failed to preserve texts sent between two staffers. The texts were exchanged by lawyer-agent Peter Strzok and lawyer Lisa Page, his mistress, in the period December 14, 2016 to May 17, 2017.
Previous exchanges between Strzok and Page, originally obtained by Fox News, referred to Trump as an "idiot" and "loathsome human."
Its release sparked suspicions of the FBI’s bias against Trump and preferential treatment of Clinton after the Bureau decided not to recommend criminal charges for her use of a personal email account while serving as secretary of state.
Michael Doran, a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, sarcastically referred to the missing texts as a "weird coincidence."He further noted the significance of the missing text messaging period ending on May 17 – the same day Special Counsel Robert Mueller was appointed to take over the FBI's probe of possible collusion between Trump's campaign and Moscow.
Another person tweeted the missing texts are a “convenient accident,” citing other important information that have gone 'missing' while in the possession of the US government.
Rep. Jim Jordan, a Republican from Ohio, used the information to urge for a second special counsel for the investigation. "First the IRS destroyed emails pivotal to our investigation of their political targeting. Now the FBI 'failed to preserve' texts between Peter Strzok & Lisa Page following the '16 election. The time for a second special counsel is now," he wrote.
That sentiment was echoed by Mark Meadows, a Republican representative from North Carolina. “Unreal... If it wasn’t already clear we need a second special counsel, it’s abundantly clear now,” he tweeted.
Another posted on Twitter that the “texts are out there somewhere,” pointing out that the National Security Agency (NSA) “records every phone call, email, and text.”
I am not at all surprised the texts went “missing” and the investigation is a “witch hunt perpetrated by Democrats,” tweeted one user.
The integrity of Mueller’s investigation team has been questioned numerous times, as many of his prosecutors have reportedly made campaign contributions to Clinton and other Democratic candidates. Reports also emerged in December that investigator Andrew Weissmann attended Clinton’s election-night party in New York City.
